BHCA Members hold elections
once a year for the offices of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer,
and COPS Liaison. Board Members can hold office for no more than two
years. If you are interested in serving
as a board member, please contact your block captain.
Who
are the
current board members?


What are the roles of the Board Members?
President: The President shall preside at meetings of the Association, shall appoint special committees, and shall be ex-officio member of every committee except the nominating committee, shall perform other duties as usually pertain to the office.
Vice President: The Vice-President shall serve as aide to the President, shall perform duties of the President in his or her absence or inability to serve.
Secretary: The Secretary shall keep the minutes of the Association, shall keep a current roster of membership of the Association, shall notify chairmen of committees of the appointment, shall provide the President with an order of business (agenda) for each meeting, shall be the custodian of all books, records, and papers of the Association, except those specifically assigned to others, i.e. the Treasurer's report.
Treasurer: The Treasurer shall have charge of funds of the Association, shall keep a record of all dues paid, shall expense monies as approved by the Association, shall submit a statement for each meeting of the association, shall maintain a filechecks, bank statements, and receipts for all expenditures.
C.O.P.S. Liaison: The C.O.P.S. Liaison shall work with an assigned Gwinnett County Police Officer to promote neighborhood participation in the reduction and prevention of crime through education and active support as well as to provide educational and safety related programs based on Beaver Hill's needs, shall select Block Captains who oversee a number of surrounding resident homes, shall work with residents to resolve code compliance violations, shall work with a Gwinnett County code compliance officer to maintain standards set forth by Gwinnett County Planning and Development, shall perform other duties as set in the standards of Gwinnett County C.O.P.S. Program.
